Job Description

The Chief Accountant/Auditor will oversee all accounting and financial reporting functions at our clients in Abidjan, ensuring compliance with best standards and organizational policies that SD shall implement. This role involves providing APA scope: setting up client client expectations, managing client's accounting team, implementation of changes, scheduling visits, training, preparing financial statements.

Job Qualifications

Required Education:

-Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
-Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, CFA or equivalent are highly preferred.


Required Experience & Certificates:

-At least 7–10 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, or auditing roles covering Trading companies, construction project accounting, production, Asset management, internal controls, exchange rates, final reporting and analysis.
-Proven experience in a senior accounting or auditing position.
-Experience with financial software systems.


Required Skills:

-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
-Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
-Excellent knowledge of international accounting standards (e.g., IFRS).
-Leadership and team management capabilities.
-Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
-Proficiency in both English and French is mandatory.

Tasks and Duties:

-Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures.
-Conduct internal audits to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
-Prepare and analyze financial reports and forecasts.
-Manage the accounting team and coordinate audits with external auditors.
-Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations.
