Job Description
The Facility Manager for the hotel in Najaf is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, operations, and safety of all hotel facilities and services. This includes managing HVAC, electrical, plumbing, housekeeping coordination, security, and ensuring a seamless guest experience. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in hotel facility management and be fluent in English to communicate effectively with international guests and staff.
Job Qualifications
Required Education:
-Bachelor’s degree in Facility Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Required Experience & Certificates:
-Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in facility or maintenance management within the hospitality sector.
-Certification in facility management (e.g., IFMA, FMP, CFM) is an advantage.
-Experience managing outsourced service providers and technical teams.
Required Skills:
-Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
-In-depth knowledge of hotel engineering systems and maintenance protocols.
-Budget planning and cost control expertise.
- Ability to build up a team.
-Proficient in Microsoft Office and facility management software.
-Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is mandatory; Arabic is an advantage.
Tasks and Duties:
-Oversee maintenance and technical operations of all hotel systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical).
-Implement preventive maintenance plans and monitor energy efficiency.
-Coordinate with housekeeping, front office, and other departments.
-Manage emergency preparedness and safety protocols.
-Supervise technical teams and external vendors.
-Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
-Report regularly on facility status and improvement plans.
-Set up procedures and follow up on procedures.
