Job Description

We are hiring a qualified and experienced Land Surveyor to support the development of a construction project in Angola. The Surveyor will be responsible for conducting accurate land and structural measurements, setting out works, and verifying that construction activities align with project designs and tolerances. The ideal candidate will ensure the accuracy of civil works across both marine and onshore sections of the project, including roads, buildings, and infrastructure networks.

Job Qualifications

Required Education:

-Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.


Required Experience & Certificates:

-Minimum 5 years of surveying experience in large-scale construction projects, preferably including port, marine, or infrastructure projects.


Required Skills:

-Proficiency in using surveying instruments such as Total Station, GPS, Auto Levels, and related software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, Leica, Trimble).
-Strong understanding of construction methods, tolerances, and technical documentation.
-Well versed Experience in buildings and infrastructure projects.
-Excellent attention to detail and spatial accuracy.
-English language proficiency is required; Portuguese is a strong advantage.
-Willingness to relocate to Angola and work on full-time basis at the project site.


Tasks and Duties:

-Perform land and topographic surveys using total stations, GPS, and other advanced equipment.
-Interpret and implement technical drawings, project plans, and alignment data to guide site works.
-Establish and maintain benchmarks, control points, and accurate setting-out references for all construction activities.
-Collaborate with civil, structural, and marine teams to ensure accurate execution of the design on the ground.
-Maintain detailed survey records, site measurements, and as-built documentation.
-Conduct regular checks to verify that completed works conform to specified dimensions and levels.
-Identify discrepancies in site layout or drawings and report to engineering or site management.
-Support the quantity survey and QA/QC teams by providing accurate measurements and layout verification.
-Ensure compliance with company HSE policies and contribute to a safe work environment.
