Job Description

  • Product innovation: Research pet nutrition trends and ingredients to create new, healthy recipes.
  • Competitive Monitoring: Track industry trends and competitor offerings to ensure PawPots stays ahead.
  • Product Development Sourcing: Research tools, raw materials, and equipment in the market that support product development and production efficiency.
  • Recipe Formulation: Formulate and adjust recipes using advanced nutrient calculators and software.
  • Customized Nutrition Solutions: Tailor recipes based on individual pet profiles, dietary needs, and medical conditions to support health goals and ensure optimal nutrition for every pet.
  • Product Development Trials: Design and run trials to ensure recipes are palatable, nutritious, and safe.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze external and internal test results to ensure optimal product performance.
  • Documentation: Create and update nutritional guidelines, ingredient lists, and product documentation.
  • Quality Support: Assist in maintaining product consistency and solving production challenges.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with marketing, supply chain, and production teams to launch new products.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay up to date on pet food regulations to maintain product compliance.

Job Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Agricultural Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in food product formulation and nutrition.
  • Pet and/or medical nutrition experience are a big plus. 
  • Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related software.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is required.
  • Passion for dogs and cats is a big plus!
