Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Developer for our pharmaceutical operations in Qatar. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead strategic business initiatives, identify lucrative market opportunities, and forge meaningful partnerships that drive organizational growth. You will combine analytical rigor with innovative thinking to evaluate, negotiate, and execute business deals while collaborating seamlessly across functional teams.   • Identify, evaluate, and prioritize in-licensing, co-development, and partnership opportunities that align with organizational objectives and market dynamics in the Middle Eastern pharmaceutical landscape
  • Build and cultivate strong relationships with pharmaceutical companies, research institutions, government bodies, and industry stakeholders to establish meaningful and sustainable partnerships
  • Conduct comprehensive market analysis and competitive intelligence to understand market trends, regulatory developments, and emerging opportunities that inform strategic decision-making
  • Lead negotiations for licensing agreements, co-development arrangements, and alliance contracts; manage due diligence processes including financial analysis, technical evaluation, and risk mitigation
  • Collaborate effectively with research and development, regulatory affairs, legal, manufacturing, and commercial teams to assess feasibility, ensure regulatory compliance, and execute successful business transactions
  • Develop and implement strategic business development initiatives aimed at achieving revenue targets and market penetration goals across domestic and export segments
  • Monitor market dynamics, competitor activities, and regulatory shifts to proactively adjust strategies and capitalize on emerging business opportunities
  • Represent the organization at industry conferences, trade exhibitions, and professional forums to enhance visibility, expand networks, and establish thought leadership
  • Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture within the business development function
  • Prepare comprehensive business cases, financial projections, and strategic recommendations for senior management review and decision-making

Job Qualifications

**Education**

  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field
  • MBA or Master's degree in Business Administration, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related discipline (highly desirable)

**Experience**

  • Minimum 8-15 years of professional experience in pharmaceutical business development, alliance management, portfolio management, or similar roles within the pharmaceutical or biotech sector
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully identifying, negotiating, and executing business deals and strategic partnerships
  • Proven experience managing cross-functional teams and collaborating with diverse stakeholders
  • Experience in the Middle Eastern or emerging pharmaceutical markets is a significant advantage

  • Familiarity with regulatory affairs and compliance requirements in pharmaceutical operations
  • Knowledge of the Lebanese and broader Middle Eastern pharmaceutical market landscape
