Job Description

Role Summary

This role will be responsible for managing and improving the accounting, finance and operational processes including but not limited to Regional Planning (Budgeting and Forecasting), and Management Reporting and analysis activity across APAC region. This position reports to Head of Finance - APAC.

Financial Reporting & Modelling

  • Internal Controls & Process Mapping
  • Develop and maintain robust financial models (P&L, cash flow, balance sheet) for ongoing and prospective projects.
  • Standardize financial model templates across projects and group reporting; simplify formulas and modeling logic.
  • Build corporate-level models and support financial consolidation under IFRS as required.
  • Understanding of control points, risk exposure, and mitigation measures.

Finance Management & Performance Analysis

  • Partner with the Trading team to review and verify trade data and reports within the SOL system.
  • Generate bi-weekly and monthly trading reports, including KPI tracking and trend analysis.
  • Perform value-added analysis to identify opportunities for trading performance improvement across business units.

Budget Planning & Management

  • Conduct variance analysis comparing actual results to budget/forecast and recommend corrective actions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Trading & Execution team on budgeting and performance tracking.
  • Other administrative tasks.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor or higher degree in Finance, Accounting or relevant field. CPA, CFA, or ACCA is preferable.
  • At least 5 years of relevant in FP&A.
  • Solid accounting background at Finance Manager level.
  • Ability to act as backup for Finance Managers during absences.
  • Strong understanding of valuation concepts and ability to value assets using DCF models, including variable modeling and sensitivity analysis.
  • Understanding of commodity trading principles, including hedging, mark-to-market valuation, and P&L impact.
  • Ability to adapt processes for diverse operational environments in APAC.

Technical Competences:

  • Expertise in financial modeling and process improvement
  • Ability to document and map end-to-end finance and operational processes.
  • Strong analytical mindset with ability to interpret complex datasets and identify actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication skills for cross-border coordination.
  • Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, OneStream) is an advantage.
