Job Description
Summary of the role
This role plays a key part in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of our Group Financial Statements, while also contributing to process automation and digital transformation across financial reporting. The ideal candidate is well-organized, has the ability to analyze and challenge financial information reported by subsidiaries worldwide, has strong analytical skills and is able to understand the accounting treatment of complex transactions. They should be comfortable working autonomously and collaboratively within a dynamic, international environment.
Responsibilities of the role:
- Analyze the reporting packages of the Group’s subsidiaries to ensure proper implementation of Group Accounting Policies across the Group
- Implement automated tools to perform consistency checks of the entities’ reporting packages
- Communicate and work closely with finance managers across multiple regions to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
- Provide status updates and collaborate with the Consolidation and FP&A team to help maintain oversight over the Group’s subsidiaries and deliver on time
- Assist in the development of the current reporting package by implementing additional reporting schedules comprising financial and non-financial data
- Collaborate with the consolidation team in the development of the Group Accounting Manual as well as the accounting impacts following any business development
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of the reporting package review procedures
- Support the Consolidation & Reporting Supervisor in her role and ad hoc projects including financial initiatives
Job Qualifications
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/IFRS Diploma is a plus)
- At least 2 years of experience in audit, accounting or finance (consolidation experience is a plus)
- Very good knowledge of International Accounting Standards (IFRS)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Power BI is a plus)
- Ability to conceptualize the needs and transform them into automated tools to simplify the monthly closing
- Experience with consolidation tools such as OneStream, Hyperion or Tagetik
